Yesterday I helped a family understand home care.
昨天我帮一个家庭理解居家护理。
The nurse gave me a list of things to do.
护士给了我一张要做的事情清单。
I knew they felt overwhelmed by the details.
我知道他们觉得这些细节很烦。
I said, "The three things to remember are…"
我说，“要记住三件事是……”
I kept it simple and friendly.
我保持简单和友好。
I also said, "If you notice a fever, call us."
我还说，“如果注意到发烧，就打电话给我们。”
The daughter looked unsure.
女儿看起来不确定。
So I asked, "Shall I write that down for you?"
所以我问，“我帮你写下来好吗？”
She nodded and smiled a little.
她点点头，微微笑了笑。
I wrote the steps on a paper.
我把步骤写在一张纸上。
She thanked me and said it helped.
她谢了我，说这很有帮助。
I felt glad I made it easier for them.
我很高兴我让他们轻松了。
