Today the rain came down hard.
Hoje a chuva caiu forte.
I had no umbrella with me.
Eu não tinha guarda-chuva comigo.
Then I saw my friend coming near.
Então vi minha amiga chegando perto.
She opened her umbrella and smiled.
Ela abriu o guarda-chuva e sorriu.
She said, 'Come, walk with me.'
Ela disse: 'Vem, anda comigo.'
We walked close, shoulder to shoulder.
Andamos juntos, ombro a ombro.
The rain made a soft sound above.
A chuva fazia um som suave em cima.
But I felt warm inside.
Mas eu me senti aquecido por dentro.
That small act meant a lot.
Aquele pequeno gesto significou muito.
Sometimes help comes in simple ways.
Às vezes a ajuda vem de formas simples.
I learned to share what I have.
Aprendi a compartilhar o que tenho.
Even a small umbrella can cover two.
