I called my sister last night.
मैंने कल रात अपनी बहन को फोन किया था।
She sounded really worried about Mom.
वह माँ को लेकर बहुत चिंतित लग रही थी।
I knew I needed to be calm.
मुझे पता था कि मुझे शांत रहना होगा।
"Here is where things stand now," I began.
"अभी स्थिति यह है," मैंने कहना शुरू किया।
I explained everything simply and clearly.
मैंने सब कुछ सरल और स्पष्ट रूप से समझाया।
Mom's recovery progresses well, steadily.
माँ की रिकवरी अच्छी, लगातार हो रही है।
"What we are watching for is her energy," I said.
मैंने कहा, "हम उनकी ऊर्जा पर नज़र रख रहे हैं।"
We want to see her feeling stronger.
हम उन्हें और मजबूत महसूस करते देखना चाहते हैं।
I told her, "You can ask me anything."
मैंने उससे कहा, "तुम मुझसे कुछ भी पूछ सकती हो।"
It felt good to offer support.
सहयोग देना अच्छा लगा।
She seemed much more relaxed then.
वह तब बहुत अधिक शांत लग रही थी।
Honesty and warmth truly helped.
ईमानदारी और गर्मजोशी ने सचमुच मदद की।
