Tonight I saw the last leaf leave the tree.
오늘 밤 나는 마지막 잎이 나뭇가지에서 떨어지는 걸 봤어.
It did not fight the wind.
그 잎은 바람과 싸우지 않았어.
It just let go and fell.
그냥 손을 놓고 떨어졌어.
I thought about my work today.
오늘 내 일이 생각났어.
I held on to a small thing too long.
나도 사소한 걸 너무 오래 붙잡고 있었거든.
A price I did not want to lower.
내리고 싶지 않았던 가격.
I thought I would lose if I gave in.
양보하면 내가 지는 거라고 생각했어.
But the leaf showed me something.
그런데 그 잎이 나에게 한 가지를 보여줬어.
Letting go is not losing.
놓아주는 건 지는 게 아니야.
It is making room for new things.
새로운 것을 위한 자리를 만드는 거지.
Tomorrow I will try to let go a little.
내일은 조금 놓아보려고.
