Last week I presented our new plan to the leadership team.
Minggu lalu saya mempresentasikan rencana baru kami ke tim kepemimpinan.
I prepared slides, but the real test was their questions.
Saya menyiapkan slide, tapi ujian sebenarnya adalah pertanyaan mereka.
One director asked about the budget risk.
Satu direktur bertanya tentang risiko anggaran.
I said, "Great question — here is how we thought about it."
Saya bilang, "Pertanyaan bagus — begini cara kami memikirkannya."
Then I gave the short version of our plan.
Lalu saya memberikan versi singkat dari rencana kami.
I focused on facts, not feelings.
Saya fokus pada fakta, bukan perasaan.
They asked about the timeline next.
Mereka bertanya tentang jadwal berikutnya.
I didn't have all the numbers ready.
Saya belum punya semua angka.
So I said, "Let me come back to you on that."
Jadi saya bilang, "Nanti saya kabari lagi."
I wrote down their question and moved on.
Saya mencatat pertanyaan mereka dan melanjutkan.
After the meeting, I sent them the answer.
Setelah rapat, saya mengirimkan jawabannya.
They respected that I was honest.
Mereka menghargai bahwa saya jujur.
