My boss wanted it done by Friday.

I said, 'If I can have till Monday, could you review it first?'
「月曜日まで待ってもらえれば、先にレビューしてもらえますか？」と言いました。
That way, she got a first look.
そうすれば、彼女は最初のチェックができます。
I got extra time to polish it.
私は仕上げるための時間が増えました。
I told her, 'I want this to work for both of us.'
「お互いにとって良い形にしたいんです」と伝えました。
She agreed, and we both felt good.

It was a small win for me.

For her, it was a win too.

Next time, I'll ask, 'Where is there room to move?'
