Last week I had to share bad numbers.

Then I said, 'Here is what the numbers say.'

I showed the chart without any spin.
Mostrei o gráfico sem rodeios.
People looked down, but I kept talking.
As pessoas olharam para baixo, mas continuei falando.
I added, 'Here is how we can respond.'
Acrescentei: 'Aqui está como podemos responder.'
We listed three small steps forward.
Listamos três pequenos passos para frente.
The room became less tense.
A sala ficou menos tensa.
Honesty felt better than hiding.
