I left work without my umbrella again.
Saí do trabalho sem guarda-chuva de novo.
The sky was already dark and wet.
O céu já estava escuro e molhado.
I felt the first drops on my nose.
Senti as primeiras gotas no meu nariz.
At first I wanted to run.
No começo eu queria correr.
But I decided to walk slowly instead.
Mas decidi andar devagar.
The rain soaked my shirt and hair.
A chuva molhou minha camisa e meu cabelo.
I felt the cold water on my skin.
Senti a água fria na minha pele.
It was not comfortable, but it was honest.
Não era confortável, mas era sincero.
I noticed the smell of wet earth.
Percebi o cheiro de terra molhada.
The sound of rain on leaves was soft.
O som da chuva nas folhas era suave.
I realized I did not need to hide.
Percebi que não precisava me esconder.
I could just let the rain fall on me.
Eu podia só deixar a chuva cair em mim.
