Last spring, I planted a tiny seed.
지난봄에 나는 작은 씨앗을 심었어.
I watered it every morning before work.
일하기 전에 매일 아침 물을 줬어.
Nothing happened for many days.
여러 날 동안 아무 일도 없었어.
I checked the soil each night.
매일 밤 흙을 확인했어.
But I saw no green shoot.
하지만 푸른 싹은 보이지 않았어.
I felt doubt creep into my chest.
의심이 가슴에 스며들었어.
Maybe I did something wrong, I thought.
내가 뭔가 잘못했나 봐, 라고 생각했어.
But I kept giving it water.
그래도 계속 물을 줬어.
One morning, a small sprout appeared.
어느 아침, 작은 싹이 나타났어.
It was thin and pale but alive.
가늘고 연약했지만 살아 있었어.
That day, I learned about patience.
그날 나는 인내에 대해 배웠어.
Growth happens under the surface first.
성장은 먼저 표면 아래에서 일어나.
