Last week we reviewed the new plan.

My manager wanted to launch early.

I said, "I see it a little differently."

Then I asked, "Have we considered the risks?"

She looked thoughtful and waited.

I added, "I am not sure that holds because..."

I explained the data we had.

She said, "Fair point, but we have time."

We agreed to test first.

I felt calm, not nervous.

Disagreeing can be respectful.

It made our plan better.
