I remember the day I got my first paycheck.
첫 월급을 받던 날을 기억해.
I held the paper in my hands, feeling its weight.
그 종이를 손에 쥐고 무게를 느꼈어.
It was more than money; it was proof of my work.
그건 돈 이상이었어. 내 노력의 증거였지.
I wanted to spend it all on something fun.
전부 재밌는 것에 쓰고 싶었어.
But then I thought of my parents' tired faces.
그런데 부모님의 지친 얼굴이 생각났어.
So I put half of it into a savings jar.
그래서 절반을 저금통에 넣었어.
The other half bought a warm dinner for them.
나머지 절반으로 부모님께 따뜻한 저녁을 사드렸지.
That small act made me feel truly grown-up.
그 작은 행동이 나를 정말 어른으로 느끼게 했어.
Money can be a bridge to the people we love.
돈은 우리가 사랑하는 사람에게 다리가 될 수 있어.
Now every paycheck reminds me of that first lesson.
지금도 월급을 받을 때마다 그 첫 교훈이 떠올라.
I hope my future self keeps that kindness.
앞으로의 나도 그 다정함을 잃지 않았으면 좋겠어.
