Tonight I opened an old drawer.

Inside, a photo sat under papers.

We all smiled in bright light.

I forgot I had this picture.

My hands held it for a long time.

That office is gone now.

Some people there moved far away.

I felt a soft ache inside.

Time passes without our notice.

But this photo keeps that day safe.

I put it back on top.
