It happened on a Tuesday, after lunch.

I saw a new face near the coffee machine.
Aku melihat wajah baru di dekat mesin kopi.

I wanted to say hello, but my mouth felt dry.

Then I remembered why I was there.
Lalu aku ingat mengapa aku ada di sana.
I needed to practice my English, starting small.
Aku perlu berlatih bahasa Inggrisku, mulai dari yang kecil.
So I took a step and said, 'Hi, I'm Rina.'
Jadi aku melangkah dan berkata, 'Hai, aku Rina.'
She smiled and said, 'Nice to meet you, Rina.'
Dia tersenyum dan berkata, 'Senang bertemu denganmu, Rina.'
The words came out shaky, but they came.
Kata-katanya keluar gemetar, tapi mereka keluar.
We talked about the weather for a minute.
