I had to share bad numbers with my team.
Kailangan kong ibahagi ang masamang numero sa aking team.
I wanted to be straight with them.
Gusto kong maging tapat sa kanila.
So I started by saying, "I want to be straight with you."
Kaya sinimulan ko sa pagsabing, "Gusto kong maging tapat sa inyo."
Then I showed the report.
Tapos ipinakita ko ang ulat.
I said, "Here is what the numbers say."
Sinabi ko, "Ito ang sinasabi ng mga numero."
The numbers were lower than we hoped.
Mas mababa ang mga numero kaysa sa inaasahan namin.
I did not hide the problem.
Hindi ko itinago ang problema.
I also said, "Here is how we can respond."
Sinabi ko rin, "Ganito tayo pwedeng tumugon."
We talked about our next steps.
Napag-usapan namin ang mga susunod naming hakbang.
Everyone felt the weight of it.
Naramdaman ng lahat ang bigat nito.
But they appreciated my honesty.
Pero pinahalagahan nila ang aking katapatan.
We left with a plan, not just bad news.
Umalis kami na may plano, hindi lang masamang balita.
