Getting Everyone on the Same Page

I just ran our first project meeting.

I wanted everyone to leave with the same goal.

So I started by saying, 'The one thing we want to achieve is...'

I wrote that on the board in big letters.

Then I asked, 'By the end, what does success look like?'

People started throwing out ideas.

I wrote those down too.

We grouped them into three clear outcomes.

Next, I said, 'Who owns what?'

Each person picked one task.

We agreed on deadlines for each step.

By the end, everyone knew their role.
