When a Bug is My Responsibility: My Learning Experience

I found a bug in the new system update.

It stopped some users from logging in.

My stomach dropped a little when I saw it.

I quickly checked my recent changes.

Then I realized that one was on me.

I missed a small test case before deployment.

Here is what I missed: a specific user type.

I told my manager right away.

She appreciated my quick response.

To stop it happening again, I will add more checks.

I also plan to double-check edge cases.
