I walk out before the sun.
Aku berjalan keluar sebelum matahari terbit.
The street lamps still glow orange.
Lampu jalan masih bersinar oranye.
No cars, no voices, only my footsteps.
Tak ada mobil, tak ada suara, hanya langkahku.
The air smells like wet pavement.
Udara berbau seperti aspal basah.
I see a cat sitting on a stoop.
Aku melihat seekor kucing duduk di tangga.
It watches me with sleepy eyes.
Ia menatapku dengan mata mengantuk.
This city feels like a different world now.
Kota ini terasa seperti dunia yang berbeda sekarang.
I love the loneliness of this hour.
Aku suka kesunyian jam ini.
It is mine for a short while.
Ini milikku untuk sementara waktu.
Soon the noise will return.
Sebentar lagi kebisingan akan kembali.
But for now, I am alone here.
Tapi untuk sekarang, aku sendirian di sini.
