I remember my first paycheck.
初めての給料を覚えています。
It was not a lot of money.
そんなに大金じゃなかった。
But it felt like a mountain.
でも、山のように感じました。
I stared at the numbers for a long time.
数字を長い間見つめました。
Then I thought about my parents.
それから、両親のことを考えました。
They always worked so hard.
いつも一生懸命働いていました。
I bought them a simple dinner.
簡単な夕食を買ってあげました。
We ate together at home.
家で一緒に食べました。
Their smiles were worth more than money.
その笑顔はお金より価値がありました。
That night, I felt like a real adult.
その夜、本当の大人になった気がしました。
