It was at a work event.

I did not know her at all.

We started with a simple hello.

Then we talked about our jobs.
Depois falamos sobre nossos trabalhos.
She grew up in Brazil, like me.
Ela cresceu no Brasil, como eu.
We laughed about the same things.
Rimos das mesmas coisas.
The time passed without me noticing.
O tempo passou sem eu perceber.
It felt easy and friendly.
Foi fácil e amigável.
I forgot my fear of people.
Esqueci meu medo de pessoas.
Maybe talking to strangers is possible.
Talvez conversar com estranhos seja possível.
I want to do it more often.
Quero fazer isso mais vezes.
