I sent my last job application today.
मैंने आज अपना आखिरी नौकरी आवेदन भेजा।
The email felt like a heavy stone.
ईमेल एक भारी पत्थर जैसा लगा।
I watched the tree outside my window.
मैंने अपनी खिड़की के बाहर पेड़ देखा।
One leaf hung there, alone and tired.
एक पत्ता अकेला और थका हुआ लटका था।
It held on through wind and rain.
उसने हवा और बारिश में पकड़ बनाए रखी।
But now it let go, without a fight.
लेकिन अब उसने बिना लड़े छोड़ दिया।
I felt a strange sense of relief.
मुझे एक अजीब सी राहत महसूस हुई।
Maybe I don't need to keep trying.
शायद मुझे कोशिश करते रहने की ज़रूरत नहीं है।
Some things end, and that is okay.
कुछ चीज़ें खत्म होती हैं, और यह ठीक है।
Tomorrow I will clean my desk.
कल मैं अपनी मेज़ साफ करूँगा।
I will write a different story.
मैं एक अलग कहानी लिखूँगा।
For tonight, I let the leaf fall.
आज रात, मैं पत्ते को गिरने देता हूँ।
