Tonight I opened an old drawer and found a photo.
आज रात मैंने एक पुराना दराज खोला और एक फोटो मिली।
It was from my first job, five years ago.
यह मेरी पहली नौकरी की थी, पाँच साल पहले।
In the photo, we were all laughing at lunch.
फोटो में हम सब लंच पर हँस रहे थे।
That day felt so normal back then.
उस दिन को तब बिल्कुल साधारण लगा था।
Now everyone has moved to different cities.
अब सब अलग-अलग शहरों में चले गए हैं।
I remember the names but not the talks.
मुझे नाम याद हैं, लेकिन बातें नहीं।
The photo holds a world that is gone.
फोटो में एक दुनिया कैद है जो अब नहीं है।
I feel a soft ache in my chest.
मेरे सीने में हल्की सी पीड़ा होती है।
But I also smile at that young face.
लेकिन मैं उस जवान चेहरे पर मुस्कुराती भी हूँ।
I was so eager and a bit scared.
मैं बहुत उत्साहित थी और थोड़ी डरी हुई भी।
That person is still a part of me.
वह इंसान आज भी मेरा हिस्सा है।
I will keep this photo on my desk.
मैं इस फोटो को अपनी मेज़ पर रखूँगी।
