Last Tuesday, I spoke English to a stranger.
先週の火曜日、知らない人に英語で話しかけた。
My hands were wet with sweat.
手は汗で濡れていた。
I said, 'Hello, how are you?'
「こんにちは、お元気ですか？」と言った。
He smiled and answered slowly.
彼は微笑んで、ゆっくり答えてくれた。
We talked about the weather.
天気の話をした。
Then we talked about our jobs.
それから仕事の話もした。
My fear went away little by little.
怖さは少しずつ消えていった。
It was a small talk.
それは小さな会話だった。
But it felt like a big win.
でも、大きな勝利のように感じた。
I learned that strangers are kind.
知らない人は親切だと学んだ。
They don't laugh at mistakes.
彼らは間違いを笑わない。
They just want to connect.
ただつながりたいだけなんだ。
