Last week I had to share bad numbers with my team.

I felt nervous before the meeting started.

But I knew honesty was the only way.

I began by saying, "I want to be straight with you."

Then I showed the sales chart on the screen.

I said, "Here is what the numbers say."

The numbers were lower than we expected.

I did not hide or soften the truth.
मैंने सच नहीं छिपाया और न ही उसे हल्का किया।
My team appreciated my clear talk.
मेरी टीम ने मेरी स्पष्ट बात की सराहना की।
One colleague asked, "What do we do now?"
एक सहकर्मी ने पूछा, "अब हम क्या करें?"
I replied, "Here is how we can respond."
मैंने जवाब दिया, "इस तरह हम प्रतिक्रिया दे सकते हैं।"
We listed three possible next steps.
हमने तीन संभावित अगले कदम सूचीबद्ध किए।
