I almost didn't ask the question today.
今天，我差点没问那个问题。
My throat felt tight when I raised my hand.

But I knew the answer would help my report.

So I opened my mouth and let the words out.

The room went quiet for a second.

Then my boss smiled and gave a clear answer.

I felt a small wave of relief wash over me.

Asking was not as scary as I feared.
提问并没有我想象的那么可怕。
Now my report has better numbers and ideas.
现在我的报告有了更好的数字和想法。
That question opened a door for me.
那个问题为我打开了一扇门。
Next time, I will ask even sooner.
