Last week I reviewed my teammate's code.
I found a few small issues.
I didn't want to sound harsh.
So I started with a question.
I asked, 'What do you think about this part?'
That opened the door for discussion.
Then I made one small suggestion.
I said we could simplify the loop.
My teammate smiled and said, 'Good call, let me fix that.'
I felt proud, not because I was right.
I felt proud because we worked together.
Feedback can be a gift.
