Last week I reviewed a teammate's code.
I found a few things to improve.
I wanted to help, not to criticize.
So I started with a question.
I said, "What do you think about this part?"
That made it a conversation, not a lecture.
Then I offered one small suggestion.
I explained why it might help.
My teammate listened and thought.
Then she said, "Good call, let me fix that."
I felt relieved and happy.
