Last week I had to share bad numbers.
पिछले हफ़्ते मुझे खराब आँकड़े बताने थे।
My team missed the target by a lot.
मेरी टीम ने लक्ष्य से बहुत पीछे रह गई।
I wanted to hide the mistake.
मैं गलती छिपाना चाहता था।
But hiding it would make things worse.
लेकिन छिपाने से हालात और बिगड़ जाते।
So I called my manager directly.
इसलिए मैंने सीधे अपने मैनेजर को फ़ोन किया।
I said, "I want to be straight with you."
मैंने कहा, "मैं आपसे सीधे बात करना चाहता हूँ।"
Then I showed the real numbers.
फिर मैंने असली आँकड़े दिखाए।
I said, "Here is what the numbers say."
मैंने कहा, "यह देखिए कि आँकड़े क्या कहते हैं।"
My manager stayed calm at first.
मेरे मैनेजर पहले शांत रहे।
She asked how we could fix it.
उन्होंने पूछा कि हम इसे कैसे ठीक करें।
I said, "Here is how we can respond."
मैंने कहा, "हम ऐसे जवाब दे सकते हैं।"
We made a new plan together.
हमने मिलकर एक नई योजना बनाई।
