I remember my first English hello.
मुझे अपना पहला अंग्रेज़ी नमस्ते याद है।
It was at a job fair.
वह एक नौकरी मेले में था।
A man asked me for directions.
एक आदमी ने मुझसे रास्ता पूछा।
My heart beat very fast.
मेरा दिल बहुत तेज़ धड़क रहा था।
I wanted to run away.
मैं भाग जाना चाहता था।
But I took one small step.
लेकिन मैंने एक छोटा कदम उठाया।
I said, 'The station is there.'
मैंने कहा, 'स्टेशन वहाँ है।'
He smiled and said thank you.
उसने मुस्कुराकर धन्यवाद कहा।
That one sentence felt huge.
वह एक वाक्य बहुत बड़ा लगा।
Now I speak at work meetings.
अब मैं काम की बैठकों में बोलता हूँ।
That first step changed everything.
उस पहले कदम ने सब कुछ बदल दिया।
