I left work late again today.
今天我又很晚才下班。
The sky was orange and pink.
天空是橙色的，还有粉色。
I walked to the river nearby.
我走到附近的河边。
The water looked dark and smooth.
水面又暗又平。
A few birds flew low over it.
几只鸟低低地飞过。
I sat on a bench for a while.
我在长椅上坐了一会儿。
My mind felt full of noise.
我的脑子里全是噪音。
But the water helped me slow down.
但河水让我慢下来。
I watched the lights come on across the river.
我看着河对岸的灯亮起来。
The city felt far away.
城市变得很遥远。
I did not think about work.
我没有想工作的事。
I just watched the water move.
我只是看着水流。
