My team started a new project yesterday.
우리 팀이 어제 새 프로젝트를 시작했어요.
I wanted everyone to know the goal.
모두가 목표를 알게 하고 싶었어요.
So I said, "The one thing we want is a smooth launch."
그래서 '우리가 원하는 건 순조로운 출시예요'라고 말했어요.
Then I shared what success looks like by the end.
그리고 마지막에 성공이 어떤 모습인지 알려줬어요.
But I made a mistake about the timeline.
그런데 일정에 대해 실수를 했어요.
I said the deadline was next Friday.
마감이 다음 주 금요일이라고 말했거든요.
Actually, it is this Friday.
사실은 이번 주 금요일이에요.
I stopped right there and said, "Wait, I got that wrong."
그 자리에서 멈추고 '잠깐, 제가 잘못 말했어요'라고 했어요.
I corrected it and explained why it changed.
바로 고치고 왜 바뀌었는지 설명했어요.
Then I asked, "Who owns what?"
그리고 '누가 무엇을 맡나요?'라고 물었어요.
People felt safe to speak up after that.
그 후에 사람들이 편하게 말할 수 있었어요.
Being honest about my mistake helped the team.
제 실수를 솔직하게 인정한 게 팀에 도움이 됐어요.
