I sat down with a parent yesterday.
어제 한 부모님과 앉아서 이야기했어요.
I wanted to share both the good and the tricky parts.
좋은 점과 어려운 점을 모두 나누고 싶었어요.
The child is bright and curious.
아이가 똑똑하고 호기심이 많아요.
But he often interrupts during group work.
그런데 조별 활동 중에 자주 끼어들어요.
I said, 'He has great ideas.'
제가 말했어요, '아이디어가 정말 좋아요.'
'At home, it might help to practice turn-taking.'
'집에서 순서를 지키는 연습을 해보면 도움이 될 거예요.'
The parent looked relieved.
부모님이 안도하는 표정이었어요.
She said, 'We see that at home too.'
그분이 말했어요, '집에서도 그렇더라고요.'
I added, 'We are on the same team here.'
제가 덧붙였어요, '우리는 같은 팀이에요.'
We planned small steps together.
함께 작은 단계들을 계획했어요.
I felt proud of how honest we were.
우리가 얼마나 솔직했는지 자랑스러웠어요.
It was not easy, but it was kind.
쉽지는 않았지만, 다정한 대화였어요.
