I remember my first time speaking English to a stranger.
我记得第一次跟陌生人说英语。
My hands were a little wet.
我的手有点出汗。
I stood near the coffee machine at work.
我站在公司的咖啡机旁边。
A woman from another team walked up.
另一个团队的女士走过来。
She smiled and said hello.
她笑着打了个招呼。
I tried to say something back.
我试着回应。
My voice felt very small.
我的声音很小。
But she kept waiting for my words.
但她一直等我说完。
So I said, 'Nice to meet you.'
所以我说了句，很高兴认识你。
She nodded and asked about my day.
她点点头，问我今天怎么样。
We talked for two minutes.
我们聊了两分钟。
That small talk changed something in me.
那次闲聊改变了我的一些想法。
