At work, I always rush.
上班时我老是匆匆忙忙。
I focus on tasks, not people.
我只盯任务,不看人。
Then a child came to the hotel.
后来有个小孩来到酒店。
She asked about the flowers in the lobby.
她问了大堂里的花。
She wanted to know their names.
她想知道花的名字。
She waited for my answer with big eyes.
她睁大眼睛等我的回答。
I had to stop and think.
我只好停下来想想。
I did not know the answer.
我并不知道答案。
So I looked it up together with her.
于是我和她一起查了查。
She smiled and said thank you.
她笑着说了谢谢。
That moment changed how I see my job.
那一刻改变了我对工作的看法。
Now I listen first and rush less.
现在我少赶时间,多听别人。
