I wanted to ask a question.
Eu queria fazer uma pergunta.
But my mouth felt dry.
Mas minha boca ficou seca.
I was afraid to sound stupid.
Eu tinha medo de parecer burra.
So I stayed quiet.
Então fiquei calada.
Later I saw that others had the same doubt.
Depois vi que outros tinham a mesma dúvida.
My question could have helped everyone.
Minha pergunta poderia ter ajudado todo mundo.
Now I try to ask.
Agora eu tento perguntar.
It is not easy.
Não é fácil.
But each time I feel stronger.
Mas cada vez me sinto mais forte.
A question is a door.
Uma pergunta é uma porta.
I am learning to open it.
Estou aprendendo a abri-la.
And that makes me hopeful.
E isso me dá esperança.
