I remember Mrs. Kim from third grade.
3학년 때 김 선생님이 생각나요.
She said my drawings were wonderful.
그분은 제 그림이 훌륭하다고 하셨어요.
I never thought I was good at anything.
저는 제가 뭘 잘한다고 생각한 적이 없었거든요.
But she looked at my work closely.
그런데 선생님은 제 그림을 자세히 보셨어요.
She pointed out the small details.
작은 디테일들을 가리켜 주셨어요.
That attention made me feel seen.
그 관심이 저를 인정받는 기분이 들게 했어요.
Her belief stayed with me for years.
그 믿음은 몇 년 동안 저와 함께 있었어요.
I still draw sometimes.
저는 아직도 가끔 그림을 그려요.
And I hear her voice in my head.
그리고 머릿속에서 선생님 목소리가 들려요.
She would be happy I kept going.
선생님은 제가 계속하는 걸 보면 기뻐하실 거예요.
I am grateful for her simple words.
그 짧은 말 한마디에 감사해요.
