But I felt a warm glow inside my chest.

It was a small thing, a tiny bug in the code.

I found it late in the evening, just before leaving.
夕方遅く、帰る直前に見つけた。
My eyes were tired, but my mind was sharp.
目は疲れていたけど、頭は冴えていた。
I traced the problem step by step, patiently.
問題を一つずつ、根気強く辿った。
Then I saw it: a missing semicolon.
そして見つけた。セミコロンが一つ足りなかった。
I added it, and the whole thing worked.
それを追加したら、全体が動いた。
No one saw my small victory.
誰も私の小さな勝利を見ていなかった。
But I know I saved someone from a headache tomorrow.
でも、明日誰かの頭痛を防いだのは私だと分かっている。
That is enough for me tonight.
今夜はそれで十分だ。
