I saw two teammates disagree today.
오늘 두 동료가 의견이 다른 걸 봤어요.
One wanted to ship the project early.
한 명은 프로젝트를 일찍 출시하고 싶어 했어요.
The other wanted more testing time.
다른 한 명은 테스트 시간을 더 갖고 싶어 했어요.
I listened to both sides first.
먼저 양쪽 의견을 들었어요.
I said, 'I hear both sides.'
'양쪽 의견 다 이해해요'라고 말했어요.
Then I asked, 'What if we tried a middle path?'
그리고 '중간 방법을 시도해 보는 게 어때요?'라고 물었어요.
We agreed to ship a core part first.
핵심 부분만 먼저 출시하기로 했어요.
The rest would get more testing.
나머지는 더 테스트를 하기로 했어요.
I asked, 'Can we both live with that?'
'둘 다 그걸로 괜찮을까요?'라고 물었어요.
They nodded and smiled.
그들은 고개를 끄덕이며 웃었어요.
I learned that compromise is possible.
타협이 가능하다는 걸 배웠어요.
It just needs a little honesty.
약간의 솔직함만 있으면 돼요.
