A traveler asked me what to do in the city.
Bir gezgin bana şehirde ne yapılır diye sordu.
I suggested the art museum first.
Önce sanat müzesini önerdim.
But then I remembered it was closed for repairs.
Ama sonra tadilat nedeniyle kapalı olduğunu hatırladım.
I felt a bit silly for my mistake.
Hatam için biraz aptal hissettim.
I quickly said, "Wait, I was wrong."
Hemen "Dur, yanıldım" dedim.
"If I were you, I would go to the history museum."
"Yerinde olsam tarih müzesine giderdim."
I explained it is a local favorite.
Buranın yerel halkın favorisi olduğunu anlattım.
"It is just a short walk from here."
"Buradan kısa bir yürüyüş mesafesinde."
She smiled and thanked me for the honesty.

I learned it is okay to correct yourself.
