Being Honest About a Mistake After a Deal

I made a small mistake in our agreement.

I told my client right away.

I said I was sorry for the error.

Then I said, "So to confirm, we agreed on a Friday delivery."

She nodded and smiled.

I continued, "The next step on my side is to send the contract."

I added, "I will send that over by Thursday morning."

She seemed relieved I was clear.

Honesty helped us move forward.

Now I feel calm about the deal.
