I woke up early on the last day.
Me desperté temprano el último día.
The sun came through the thin curtain.
El sol entraba por la cortina delgada.
I packed my bag slowly, without hurry.
Empaqué mi mochila despacio, sin prisa.
Each shirt reminded me of a place.
Cada camisa me recordaba un lugar.
I felt a tug in my chest.
Sentí un tirón en el pecho.
This trip was my escape from worry.
Este viaje fue mi escape de las preocupaciones.
Soon I go back to job hunting.
Pronto vuelvo a buscar trabajo.
I will send more applications again.
Enviaré más solicitudes otra vez.
But today I am still here.
Pero hoy todavía estoy aquí.
I take one last look at the sea.
Miro el mar una última vez.
I close the door, and I smile.
Cierro la puerta y sonrío.
The memory will stay with me.
