I remember the first time.
मुझे वो पहली बार याद है।
I was in a small cafe.
मैं एक छोटी सी कैफे में था।
A tourist asked me for directions.
एक पर्यटक ने मुझसे रास्ता पूछा।
My heart beat fast.
मेरा दिल तेज़ धड़क रहा था।
But I wanted to try.
लेकिन मैं कोशिश करना चाहता था।
I took a deep breath.
मैंने गहरी सांस ली।
Then I spoke slowly.
फिर मैंने धीरे-धीरे बोला।
The words felt heavy.
शब्द भारी लग रहे थे।
But the tourist smiled.
लेकिन पर्यटक मुस्कुराया।
She understood me.
उसने मुझे समझ लिया।
That smile gave me hope.
उस मुस्कान ने मुझे उम्मीद दी।
