The guest stood at my desk, looking very tired.

I checked the system. The room was still being cleaned.
Revisé el sistema. La habitación aún se limpiaba.
I took a breath and said, I am so sorry for the wait.
Tomé aire y dije: Lamento mucho la espera.
I told him honestly that the room needed ten more minutes.
Le dije con honestidad que la habitación necesitaba diez minutos más.
Then I asked: while you wait, may I offer you some coffee?
Luego pregunté: mientras espera, ¿puedo ofrecerle un café?
He smiled a little and said yes.
Sonrió un poco y dijo que sí.
I guided him to the lounge and brought him a warm cup.
Lo llevé a la sala y le traje una taza caliente.
I added: I will personally let you know the moment it is ready.
Añadí: Le avisaré yo mismo en cuanto esté lista.
He relaxed and thanked me.
Se relajó y me agradeció.
I checked the room every few minutes.
Revisé la habitación cada pocos minutos.
When it was ready, I found him and walked him upstairs.
Cuando estuvo lista, lo busqué y lo acompañé arriba.
He said the coffee made the wait feel short.
